Asbestos Sampling

Shadow Vac Service

So what IS a Shadow Vac Service? If you have loose asbestos particulates as a result of works or removal, you cannot just vacuum them up with a ‘Dyson’ or ‘Henry’! To meet regulations you MUST use a Class H Vacuum from a licensed supplier which meets BS 8520-3:2009 containing a filter conforming to BS EN 1822. The contents must be disposed of correctly and suitable records kept. That is where EFAR can take away yet another headache, allowing you to get on with your day to day business.

Removal of Asbestos

EFAR undertake all types of asbestos removal services - just call us to arrange a site visit and a quote. We made need to undertake sampling and await results prior to deciding on the most appropriate methods of removal to cause the minimum disruption. All asbestos removal is carried out with HSE (Health and Safety Executive) guidelines and waste disposal records are kept to protect you from prosecution. Disposal of Asbestos Containing Material (ACM) is regulated.

Environmental Cleaning

Environmental cleaning must comply with health and safety legislation by following HSE and industry guidance/codes of practice with regard to Asbestos Containing Material. EFAR operate a risk based approach to environmental cleaning with full regard to site conditions, site wide elements, local environment, weather, access and egress. Waste Management

Any Asbestos Containing Material which requires disposal is defined as asbestos waste. All asbestos waste is subject to Schedule 2 of the Control of Asbestos Regulations 2012 and most waste is subject to the Carriage of Dangerous Goods (etc) Regulations 2009 (CDG 2009). Anyone not following these requirements is liable to prosecution.
